About the Artist

Alexander Kaplan, a painter and teacher, was born in Charkov Ukraine in 1945. He attended the Academy of Art in Charkov and later the University of Fine Arts in St.Petersburg.
In St.Petersburg he obtained a Masters Degree in Art, specializing in the works of contemporary artists like Architenko and Moshe Fredkin.

In the early 1970’s Kaplan immigrated to Israel, where he has continued his work as an artist and teacher. He is also in charge of design for the municipality of Lod in Israel.
